Nestler’s Drafting Tool

Nestler’s Drafting Tool - for Sale at 150 €

I sell a very rare German drawing compass made in Germany immediately after the 1st World War. The instrument was manufactured by Albert Nestler AG Lahar, Germany. Its case is made of wood lined with the oval "Nestler's Praezision" logo and, on the top left, there is a "P.XIV" (Patent 1914).

The box measures 28 cm x 13.3 cm. This Set is complete and includes 19 original instruments (including the metal capsule containing the replacement mines). Note the strange and unusual accessory in the shape of a "pear" that serves to draw "broken lines" or two different types of "dotted lines". There is also a piece of fallow deer, to clean the nibs from the ink of china; it has never been washed and bears witness to its now distant history.

The instruments are EXCEPTIONAL for their age and show some small signs of previous use. The pins and clutches are absolutely fantastic! The box also shows a slight consumption of use at the four corners, but the inner velvet and the rest outside are in excellent condition.

Recommended for a serious Sector Collector or a Thematic Museum (such as: https://www.sliderulemuseum.com/Nestler.htm).
